Working in the Shire
Electrical work that suits the house you already live in.
Most of the work we take on across the Sutherland Shire sits somewhere between maintenance and renovation. A kitchen is being reworked and the lighting needs rethinking. A room has one outlet where it needs four. A switchboard has been quietly doing its job for decades and is now the thing holding everything else back. None of that is dramatic work, but it does need someone who will look at the whole picture before touching anything.
Because Joey runs the business and does the work, the conversation about scope happens once, with the person who will be on site. That matters most on older homes, where what is practical depends on how the place was built, where the existing cabling runs and how much of the finished surface you are prepared to have opened up. Some of it is straightforward. Some of it needs a route worked out first. Either way you hear the honest version before you commit.
Construction across the Shire varies street to street, so we assess each property on what it actually is rather than assuming. Once the scope is clear, the price is fixed and agreed in writing before work starts, and the work is finished so that the only thing you notice afterwards is that it works properly.

What we get called for
What the Shire calls us for.
A representative spread of the jobs that come through, rather than a list of everything electrical.
A switchboard that has run out of room
Ceramic fuses, no RCD protection on some circuits, or simply no space left to add a circuit for the renovation that is about to start.
Lighting that no longer fits the room
Downlight layouts that light the floor and not the bench, dated fittings, or new lighting planned as part of a kitchen or bathroom change.
Not enough power where you use it
Extra outlets in bedrooms and living areas, points behind appliances, outdoor power, and switches moved to somewhere sensible.
Fans that need adding, not just replacing
Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living rooms, exhaust fans vented properly, including new positions that need to be wired from scratch.
A television with nothing visible behind it
Wall mounting with power and data run inside the wall, including masonry walls where the route has to be planned first.
Something trips, flickers or has stopped
Circuits that drop out intermittently, lights that flicker, dead outlets. We trace the cause rather than swapping parts and hoping.
Cable runs nobody wants to attempt
Tight roof access, awkward paths between levels, and installations that need care rather than force to finish cleanly.

Why All Set
Why people in the Shire keep our number.
Nothing here is a promise about speed or availability. It is simply how the work is run: one licensed electrician, a scope agreed before anything starts, and a finish you do not have to tidy up after.
- Owner operated
- Joey owns All Set Electrical Group and does the work. The person who quotes the job is the person on site.
- Direct communication
- One phone number, one conversation. Nothing is relayed through a coordinator or handed to a subcontractor.
- Fixed price before work starts
- The scope is worked out, then the price is agreed. That figure is what you are invoiced.
- Neat installation
- Fittings sit where they should, cabling is concealed where it can be, and the area is left clean.
- The work is explained
- You are told what was found, what was done and why, in plain terms rather than trade shorthand.
- Licensed and insured
- NSW electrical licence 452976C, ABN 98 698 550 346, fully insured, 8 years in the trade.
A reasonable share of our Shire work arrives already quoted by someone else, or already declined. Double brick, rendered masonry, a roof space with almost no clearance, a cable path that has to cross a stairwell, a television position on a wall that has nothing behind it. These are not impossible jobs, they are jobs that need the route worked out before a tool comes out of the van.
We will work out the route first and give you a straight answer about what is practical. Sometimes that answer is that the neat version costs more than you expected, or that a slightly different position turns a difficult job into a simple one. Occasionally it is that the job should not be done the way it was first imagined. You get the assessment either way, and we will not pretend every difficult installation can be completed.
- Double brick and masonry walls
- Tight or restricted roof spaces
- Difficult cable paths between areas
- Concealed television power and data
- Hard-to-reach fitting positions
- Second opinions on knocked-back jobs

Installed properly, tested, explained, and the area left clean.
The Sutherland Shire is the core of our residential work, alongside St George and Wollongong through to the wider Illawarra. Greater Sydney is possible by arrangement depending on the job.
There is no shopfront or local depot to mention, and we would rather not invent one. If you are unsure whether your address suits, call and ask. It takes about a minute to sort out.

Owner operated
Deal directly with the electrician doing the work.
Joey owns and runs All Set Electrical Group, with eight years in the trade, NSW electrical licence 452976C and full insurance. The person who quotes your job is the person who does it, which is why the scope conversation only has to happen once.
